We Believe—The Church :: 10/25/26 :: Dr. Mark Young
Welcome to Wellspring Church!
What makes the church unlike any other community? In this message, Dr. Mark Young continues our series on the Nicene Creed, exploring what it means to believe in “one holy, catholic and apostolic church”—and the beautiful calling we share as followers of Jesus.
The church brings together people across nations, languages, and cultures through a common confession of Christ. We are united by our faith, set apart for God’s purposes, part of a worldwide family, and sent to make Jesus known. Our unity grows as we practice humility, patience, forgiveness, and peace, reflecting the reconciliation we have received through Jesus.
📖 Key Themes in This Message:
🔹 One: Living in unity through our shared faith in Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit
🔹 Holy: Being set apart to worship God and fulfill his purposes in the world
🔹 Catholic: Belonging to the universal church, embracing diverse cultures and expressions of worship
🔹 Apostolic: Remaining rooted in the apostles’ teaching and continuing their mission to proclaim Christ
Being the church is more than gathering on Sunday—it means living out our identity as God’s people. Here in Englewood, we belong to a family that stretches around the world and will one day worship together before God’s throne. Through the Spirit’s power, we are called to embody Christ’s love and bear witness to him wherever we go.
