  • Have a family discussion about the purpose of technology. What are the positives and negatives? When should it be used? Read the following quote and discuss: Andy Crouch in Tech Wise Family states, “We should use screens for a purpose, and use them together, rather than using them aimlessly and alone.” –– Again, the purpose of life is to grow toward something. The purpose of the family is to make better people. Therefore, isolation and idle entertainment are barriers to those goals. Ask God to be a part of this discussion and spend time in listening prayer to hear what He has to say on this topic!

  • Pick a spiritual discipline to engage for one month together. What is it (prayer, scripture, silence, etc)? How will you practice it? How often will you engage it together? Engaging difficult world topics like: current political divide, racial justice, care for the poor, Covid impactors nationally and globally.

  • Parents, put your faith on display for your kids: do a parent Q/A night about your faith. Start with: How did you become a Christian? What are big influences in your faith now? What questions do kids have for parents about how they have learned what it means to follow Jesus?
