Window 1 :: The Fall

This window shows the unfallen state of man and the Fall. Between those two events we see that God had a plan for the salvation of his people even before sin entered the world.

Panel 2 - The Menorah

This panel depicts a menorah, a seven-pronged candelabra. In Jewish tradition, the menorah represents the Tree of Life. The number seven is the number of perfection, and the light of its candles represents the presence of the Lord. Together these symbols communicate the perfection of God’s presence as it was in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve and how it will be again in the recreated Earth.

Panel 4 - Joseph’s Coat of Many Colors

This panel depicts Joseph’s Coat of many Colors. Joseph was the most Christ-like person in the Scriptures except Jesus himself. In a way Joseph was sacrificed into slavery in Egypt to save his brothers. The coat represents that Joseph was chosen to be a sacrifice despite, or perhaps because of, the affection of his father.

Panel 5 - A Sacrificial Lamb

This panel depicts a sacrificial lamb. Throughout the Old Testament the symbol of the sacrificed lamb points to Jesus’ own sacrifice upon the cross. In this window, it furthers the idea of a coming sacrifice.

Panel 6, 7, 8 - The Serpent Wrapped around the Tree of Life

These panels show the serpent wrapped around the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden. When Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree, humanity fell into sin. Here the serpent represents the temptation that led to the Fall.
